Flexible representation of fluid path and solid structure as a set of 1D elements, which can be connected to each other to form a thermal-fluid network:

 

-       Perfect for utilization at early phase of design when full 3D geometry is unknown

-       Ideal for analysis and redesign when some geometric data is unavailable

-       Calculation of pressure loss, mass flow rate,convection, conduction, heat transfer coefficient, temperature, velocity, etc. for each fluid path section (represented by appropriate element(s))

-       Estimation of bleed and cooling flow parameters

-       Basic fluid elements
